In Case You Missed It: CSIAC Podcast – Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC): The Road to Compliance - CSIAC
In response to the repeated attacks on the Department of Defense (DoD) supply chain, the release of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) introduces a verification mechanism that will ensure the necessary security mechanisms are in place to better protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and other sensitive data made available to contractor organizations. CMMC was developed from the contributions of multiple organizations and entities, including the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD[A&S]), leveraging inputs from the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) sector, University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs), Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), and private industry. CMMC will soon be incorporated into Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), making it a requirement for DIB contractors that wish to be eligible for contract awards. This podcast provides an overview of CMMC for DoD contractors and subcontractors that are new to this requirement.

In Case You Missed It: CSIAC Webinars – Deep Learning for Radio Frequency Target Classification - CSIAC
This webinar presents modern deep learning (DL) techniques for radio frequency (RF) imagery and signals (i.e., Synthetic Aperture Radar/SAR data, communication signals) classification.
First, Dr. Majumder provides a short overview of machine learning (ML)/DL theory and an understanding of SAR imagery and RF signals. Then he demonstrates detailed algorithmic implementation and performance of DL algorithms on classifying SAR data and RF signals. Dr. Majumder presents recent research results, technical challenges, and directions of DL-based object classification for RF sensing. Finally, he covers adversarial attacks and mitigation techniques involving DL-based RF object recognition.
