Enhance cybersecurity awareness and survivability for DoD, industry partners, and academia in the face of the ever-increasing threat of cyber attacks. Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.

The announcement of 5G is discussed to come with benefits such as, greater speeds, increased efficiencies, and support for up to one million device connections on a 5G private network which will lead to an increase in innovations and change the way we do business. However, without regulation and proactive measures 5G networks are still vulnerable to cyberattacks. the major security concerns of 5G networks are 5G networks being managed by software, dramatic expansion of bandwidth in 5G, increased vulnerability by attaching tens of millions of hackable smart devices to an IoT network, etc. They are currently working on ways to improving the security and vulnerability of 5G networks.
