After a large, and still updating, current set of events, major company Blizzard Entertainment is allegedly blocking users from deleting their accounts due to the current movement to boycott the company.
This comes after Blizzard Ent bends the knee to the Chinese government to ban a Chinese e-sports player from prizes, their games, and future tournaments due to the statements he made in support of the Free Hong Kong movement. After major backlash, users of their services (like Battle.net) have riled up to try to delete their accounts associated with the service.
