In this article, it explains due to the coronavirus, it has lead to a multitude of threats to the cybersecurity community. The coronavirus could be seen as one of the largest opportunities for hackers to run rampant because of how shook up society is from the pandemic. Which leads to hackers and cybercriminals to find this as a perfect opportunity to completely rupture the environment. There’s been over hundreds, maybe even thousands of security threats which have arisen due to the virus. Many of them being phishing emails in an attempt to scam victims. Threats have even gone as far as targeting critical healthcare, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.
