Enhance cybersecurity awareness and survivability for DoD, industry partners, and academia in the face of the ever-increasing threat of cyber attacks. Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.

December 2019, a tragedy occurred at a Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. A student killed three sailors and eight more were wounded. Several hours after this physical attack, the city of Pensacola was under a cyberattack, resulting in a disconnect amongst the city’s network. When it comes to cyberattacks, you can never take too many precautions to protect sensitive information being leaked. The FBI is unaware if these two attacks have a connection to one another. Many services, including 911, were down due protecting the city until it was resolved. On this certain issue, there was not much information regarding the cyberattack in the article. In my opinion, it is difficult to address certain issues due to security reasons.
