Enhance cybersecurity awareness and survivability for DoD, industry partners, and academia in the face of the ever-increasing threat of cyber attacks. Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.

Apparently 5G connections can be forced to downgrade to 4G or 3G which allows for older attacks to still work based on the vulnerabilities with those standards. Currently there is also a data leakage problem with 5G.
“The GSMA says that it welcomes scrutiny of the 5G standard, because it has allowed the organization to catch and fix potential vulnerabilities before the 5G networks are widely deployed.”
