Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.

In an attempt to combat the massive shortage of cybersecurity personnel, the White House announced on November 30th that it would be launching the Federal Cybersecurity reskilling academy pilot. The pilot will be a test to retrain individuals in the federal workforce so that they can work as cybersecurity analysts. Qualifying individuals would not have previous IT experience as computer engineers, electronics engineers, computer scientists, or IT specialists.
