In the UK, a free railway station WiFi service from C3UK exposed at least 10,000 user’s data, including email addresses, date of birth, and travel information. The company used an unsecured database to contain the information. The database was also searchable, so anyone that had access to it could search for a person’s travel patterns. None of the information contained in the database was stolen but it presented a potential risk for the company and the public.
