A high-severity, zero-day security vulnerability for Android OS, in the Video for Linux 2 (v4l2) driver has been found. Attackers must first have local access to the device to exploit this vulnerability which they can then take complete control of the device. No security fix from Google yet means Android users need to keep their devices safe from the attack. It is recommended that users only install applications that are from a verified source.
