This study by the Accenture and Ponemon Institute analyzes the latest cost of cybercrime to help leaders better target security investments and resources. While the cybersecurity field has grown in leaps and bounds to keep cyber criminals in check. Unfortunately the criminals are putting more focus on the most vulnerable aspect of cyber defense, the human layer. Ransomware, phishing, and social engineering are on the rise whether they are used to attack individuals or are using those individuals to attack specific companies. There is now an emphasis on increasing the growth of technologies that can improve cybersecurity despite the existing vulnerabilities.
