In this article on the last paragraph, shocking information was revealed. In 2019 764 American health care providers, were attacked by ransomware. This is a major concern and there should be a bigger worry from the government or in general on issues like this.

This is an unfortunate event for the patients family, and the hospital as well. The attacker is very selfish to look for a pay day with these hospitals. I feel like if they were to see themselves the damage they caused, they would reconsider doing the attack they did.

The perpetrators intended to attack Heinrich Heine University but the attack got “misdirected” and ended up crippling the systems in the University Hospital of Düsseldorf. This caused IT failures and led to the death of a patient. The attack exploited a Citrix ADC CVE-2019-19781 vulnerability to cripple the hospital systems on September 10. “The incident marks the first recorded casualty as a consequence of cyberattacks on critical healthcare facilities, which has ramped up in recent months.”
