Enhance cybersecurity awareness and survivability for DoD, industry partners, and academia in the face of the ever-increasing threat of cyber attacks. Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.
Penetration Testers In Iowa Arrested by Clueless Sheriff For Doing Their Job

This is probably the most ridiculous article I have ever read and really illustrates some of the problems Iowa has. The state government hired Cyber Security company Coalfire to test for vulnerabilities and see how the current system would do. They found a backdoor at the Dallas County Courthouse – so they set off the alarm and followed their normal procedure – right up until the sheriff showed up and decided he was going to arrest these pen testers for felony burglary… Now these poor pen testers are stuck in a legal battle between the state and county; and subsequently this is very concerning for security companies as they may not want to work with the state or county governments who are arguably some of the most vulnerable entities for cyber crime.
