Enhance cybersecurity awareness and survivability for DoD, industry partners, and academia in the face of the ever-increasing threat of cyber attacks. Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.

Feasible or not…
In light of retail establishments targeted by cyber threat actors for user credit card information, what can we do to reduce this threat? On the surface, incorporating a security PIN for dual factor (physical card and PIN) seems like a good idea, but the card reader skimming device would just capture the pin as it is entered. What about a rolling pin such as a SecurID device? New card with only a card number and manual entry of the SecurID would secure the card holder’s info as well deter retail threat actors looking for usable cards.
