Scammers are trying to spoof people into giving out their credentials. Spoofing means to use the banks phone number as their own to show up on their customers phone as their bank provider. The scammer will figure out everything they need to know to make sure they can access all of their bank information. They tell the customer that they need their information because someone tried to logon to the banks website and they need to confirm their credentials.
