Enhance cybersecurity awareness and survivability for DoD, industry partners, and academia in the face of the ever-increasing threat of cyber attacks. Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.
TikTok expands disclosure efforts on cybersecurity threats
On Thursday, TikTok announced that they are expanding its cybersecurity vulnerability disclosure program in order to further address cyber threats. This plan of action is part of the social media platform’s more vague efforts to promote and encourage security during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. TikTok went on to announce that they are partnering with HackerOne (a vulnerability coordination and bug bounty platform with a community made up with ethical hackers and security researchers) in order to create a “global bug bounty program” that allows its existing vulnerability disclosure program to expand which is used to help users or security professionals flag any technical concerns with the platform. In addition, the company is making a point to really emphasize their work towards increasing the cybersecurity of the platform and overall promoting the importance of security in order to better their platform/improve their platform and make it safer for users.
