Enhance cybersecurity awareness and survivability for DoD, industry partners, and academia in the face of the ever-increasing threat of cyber attacks. Cybersecurity (CS) includes managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes, including analog and physical form. CS includes information availability, identification and authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation as well as the economic considerations with respect to selection of CS techniques, CS processes, and industry trends.

Honestly I thought that the title of the article was a joke when I first saw it. The GAO reported that hackers with basic skills and techniques could get into weapon systems. I do not know what is scarier that this has been an issue for who knows how long or that until those issues are fixed they are still very vulnerable. Of all the things that should have high security, advanced weaponry should be at the top of the list. Hopefully that 1.66 trillion that the DoD are planning on spending will be used accordingly.
