VISA’s special security team with the VISA Payment Fraud Disruption (PFD) Unit discovered two hospitality vendors had been infected with point-of-sale (POS) malware, thought to be attributed to the TinyPOS, MMon and PwnPOS malware variants. This is especially concerning as we approach the holiday season- perhaps these two vendors were trial runs, before a large-scale attack is executed?
