Zoom meetings have been targeted by attackers. If Zoom meeting links are shared publicly, they are susceptible to disruptions by people who were not supposed to be part of the meeting. Threats have been given to meeting members by attackers, and meetings have been ended suddenly.

Zoom has acquired millions of new users because of corona virus. This fact has been relayed across social media. An effect of this is the service has gotten security experts going on the service and deleting any bugs or other issues that they can across. When the news was informed of this many of them published articles questioning Zooms ability to keep itself secure. Oddly enough the same day the FBI warmed about a certain type of attack that was happening. This attack was called “Zoom-bombing”. This attack involved the call being hacked and porn or hate images or threatening language was shown. Things ended up escalating by another problem being found. This problem involved hackers being able to get into the victim’s computers and planting malware. There are also a couple of other bugs. One of those is a bug that leaks users email address and photos. The other one is a bug that leave Windows passwords at risk of being compromised. Since Zoom has these problems it recommended to not use it for information you think of as sensitive.
