Dr. Robert Smith is a Research Engineer in the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC). Dr. Smith works in the Modeling and Simulation Group (Analytics) where he has been since 2008. He has over 15 years of experience in computer-aided engineering. His career experience includes experience at DARPA, Ford Motor Company, Whirlpool Corporation, and General Dynamics Land Systems. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. His research interests include data mining, signature management, computational heat transfer, and innovation in design/engineering.
