Nupul Kukreja is a Phd student at the University of Southern California (USC) Center for Systems and Software Engineering (CSSE). He is working in the area of value-based software engineering with a focus on value-based requirements engineering. He is currently investigating the use of social networking for collaborative requirements negotiation and combining it with decision analysis for value based requirements prioritization. This research is at the confluence of Business Case Analysis, Statistical Decision Theory and Value-Based Software Engineering to create an end-to-end value based requirements engineering framework for use in practice. He recently interned with Infosys and helped create a value based requirement prioritization framework for which he received an outstanding intern award. He loves anything and everything to do with software. Prior to his Ph.D work, he was a lecturer for teaching computer graphics and operating systems to undergraduate CS students at Mumbai University, India and a software developer at Capgemini Consulting in India.
