Hackers have stolen confidential documents from a US military contractor which provides critical support for the country's Minuteman III nuclear deterrent, Sky News has learnt.

DOD released its new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) on January 31st, billed by the undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment as "Version 1.0." By the end of September, the Defense Department will require at least some companies bidding on defense contracts to certify that they meet at least a basic level of cybersecurity
A draft version of that new guidance publicly released June 19 lays out 31 new recommendations for contractors to harden their defenses and protect unclassified (but still sensitive) government data that resides on their networks from advanced persistent threats (APT) or government-sponsored hackers.
